This material proves lighter, more durable, and substantially less expensive to manufacture than its predecessor. The change also enabled geometric improvements around fasteners and edges, contributing to improved manufacturability and aerodynamic performance.
Morrill additionally revealed refinements to the Cybertruck's side repeater camera housings. The triangular camera pods mounted on the front fenders received design adjustments to the contours, allowing passive airflow geometry to maintain lens clarity during rain and road spray conditions. The revision delivers improved vision capability without any manufacturing cost increase.
Manufactured at Tesla's Gigafactory Texas near Austin, the Cybertruck undergoes continuous incremental improvements rather than waiting for annual model cycles.
