BYD commenced retail distribution of residential solar energy kits through 233 dealerships in Brazil, expanding its integration of renewable energy solutions with electric mobility operations. The standardised package comprises eight photovoltaic modules rated at 600 W each, delivering 4.8 kWp installed capacity, alongside an inverter, mounting structures, cabling, and connectors. BYD consolidated equipment supply, installation services, grid certification coordination with local power distributors, and one-year insurance coverage into unified purchase agreements. All components are manufactured locally at its Campinas facility in São Paulo state. Customers purchasing BYD vehicles through cash or Banco Santander financing qualify for 36-month instalment financing of the solar kit at 512 BRL (USD 100) monthly without down payment or interest charges, subject to additional IOF tax and registration fees.

Other vehicle owners regardless of brand can access financing through Banco Santander beginning at monthly interest rates of 1.69%. The total kit price is approximately 19,000 BRL (USD 3,800). The photovoltaic module production line at the Campinas facility has achieved 0.5 GW capacity, with cumulative output exceeding 2 million units by 2022. This launch coincides with market introduction of the Song Pro Flex plug-in hybrid SUV, engineered for Brazilian fuel flexibility requirements.
