CairoSharm El Sheikh

Across the Suez Canal then down Sinai's western coast — 490 km on close to no charging coverage, and the hardest Egyptian drive to do on electricity.

The corridor

  1. Cairo

    0 km

Fully charged. Do not attempt this in a car with under 400 km of real summer range unless you are ready to spend a night charging on the way.

  2. Ahmed Hamdi Tunnel

    130 km

The Suez Canal crossing. Expect a checkpoint, but no charging here — nor at any point we know of until the South Sinai coast.

  3. Ras Sedr

    190 km

The first resort cluster on the coast. Charging here is entirely hotel-side and not guaranteed — call ahead before relying on it.

  4. Infinity — South Sinai coast

    290 km
    Infinity EVType 222 kWsourceunverified

Infinity's South Sinai site is recorded with eight stalls but no precise published address. The largest stall count we know of in Sinai, and the point we can least promise you will find.

  5. Abu Rudeis

    300 km

An oil town on the coast. Fuel and food, with no known public charging.

  6. El Tor

    420 km

South Sinai's capital and the last town before Sharm. The last realistic place for a long stop.

  7. Sharm El Sheikh

    490 km

Arrival. The larger hotels have started fitting AC points — ask your hotel by name before booking, and do not assume.

This is Egypt's longest drive on its thinnest coverage. The practical approach today: charge to full in Cairo and let the car's range, not the corridor, get you there.
The alternative via Nuweiba and Dahab is longer and adds no known charging coverage.
Verify before you travel — corridor coverage is not guaranteed
